Does anyone know of any 'virtual breadboarding' software I can use to explain basic electronic stuff (Ohms law, AC circurts, etc.)? I saw a demo of one many yearss ago, but can't remember what it was called ....

This exists for just about all aspect of circuit design work but I am not aware of a general ohms law version. Try contacting an electronics school or jonior college in your area if you can't come up with anything.

I came across 'crocodile clips' a while back whilst swotting up for my amateur radio licence.

Damned if can remember where I downloaded it from, but I think this is the same program

I have used and learned a lot from this software:

CircuitMaker

Circuit Maker from Microcode

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, CircuitMaker provides fast, powerful yet affordable schematic design and simulation in one complete program. This intuitive, easy-to-use "Virtual Electronics Lab" gives you the flexibility to design and test electronic circuits, trying all the "what if" scenarios without ever worrying about faulty parts or bad connections.

Yes; shortly after I also found Electronics Workbench. It seems a nice simple program that does everything I need for 'show and tell' teaching. Circuit Maker also looks good

Crocodile Clips looked like it was also good enough (and it's freeware!) but it was written for Win 3.1 and did some funky things on our XP machine.

Thanks, everyone!
