I have just discovered that my home town football team, Sheffield Wednesday ,is going on a pre-season tour of the US and on July 22 land in Rochester ,NY to play the Raging Rhinos.

By a twist of fate I will be in Toronto from 17-31 July brushing up on my IMAX SPP skills so Saturday evening football looks quite attractive! [Big Grin] [thumbsup]

I am wondering if any Film-Techers, I'm thinking John P here, can recommend reasonable price acommodation and eateries near Paetec Park?

Information about Rochester, the Rhinos, and Paetec Park:

http://rocwiki.org/PAETEC_Park

quote:
PAETEC Park is the stadium for the Rochester Rhinos soccer club, who compete in the USL 1st Division. The Rochester Rattlers outdoor lacrosse team, a founding member of the MLL, also plays its home games at PAETEC.
PAETEC Park is a new stadium which opened on June 3, 2006. The stadium, located only a few blocks from the Rhinos' old home at [Frontier Field], was built to serve the local teams and fans of sports played on a rectangular surface.

Kodak's headquarters (Kodak Office Tower), Frontier Field (Rochester Red Wings Baseball team) and the "High Falls" of the Genesee River are a short walk away from Paetec Park.

Several good hotels in downtown Rochester, including the Hyatt Regency and Crowne Plaza.
