According to the newspaper, Cinemark attempted to buy Century a year ago but the deal fell through when Cinemark offered significantly less than the $1 billion that Century's owners had sought. I'd bet against it. My hopes are that Warren Theatres lays sadistic merciless waste to all other competitors in major markets within Texas, Kansas, Colorado and Oklahoma. --thus upending lots of existing Cinemark sites. There's a good number of them that really got on my nerves in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Warren Theatres hasn't jumped into the IMAX thing yet though.
