We had someone throw up on the seat in front of them. I'm not sure if that qualifies them as a victim or not.

I've had people pass out in all kinds of movie, the content has very little to do with it. We had to have an ambulance come out for a guy that collapsed while watching V for Vendetta, it did not make the news though.

I'm sure just about everyone has had multiple people hurl during the presentation of the fine cinema that was The Blair Witch Project.

During the first show opening night (which was sold out) a customer passed out less than five minutes into the movie. We shut down the projector, got him into the lobby, and called 911. He refused to go the hospital after two cop cars and two ambulances arrived... a little overkill to say the least.

Last night I came out of the booth around 11:15 to see an ambulance and cop car again. Turns out someone else passed out. One of her friends called 911 from her cell phone. This girl went to the hospital.

Besides that, we had vomiting in bathrooms and once in the auditorium in the garbage can at the back of the room. It's a college town so we'll have this film for weeks. Fun to look forward to.

As in, hurl stuff at the screen in frustrated boredom?

Oh PUHLEEEZE! People fainting? How lame! What a bunch of pussies!

It's almost as bad as in the mid-seventies when "The Exorcist" came out! It scared the hell outta me, but I sure didn't faint!

Ummm...BUT! No matter how stupit, it was like when I saw "Earth vs. The Flying Saucers" I had nightmares! [Smile]

BTW: I haven't seen "Saw III" yet, but liked 1 & 2! [Smile]

Does kicking two 13 yr olds out for having sex in the first row of the stadium seating count?

We had a puker in Grudge 2 on its opening night, but so far only kids having sex in Saw 3.

A few years ago, at my old building, a middle aged guy had a heart attack and died during the first reel of Taking Lives, so I guess that counts. It didn't make the news though

Too bad you didn't think to take some pictures to give to their parents when they came back to pick them up.

Or would that constitute kiddie porn?

Before I got to be managment, I used to like to turn up the houselights on them so the other people in the auditorium could oggle them. If they're alone, I usually take a clean spray bottle, fill it with water, and squirt them with it. I like to ebaress them as much as I can, maybe in hopes of teaching them not to have sex in a theatre, but mostly it's just my sadistic side coming out.

We've had a number of people leave the cinema. Some have come out to get a bottle of water etc. We are showing it on an 82 foot wide screen which obviously adds to the impact. No vomiting yet that I know of but its only been here 3 days so far.
As a sideline, what rating / classification has it received around the world? Here in Australia it has received an MA15+ which means anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult or not admitted. Usually the films with this level of blood and gore receive an R rating here (no one under 18 admitted at all). Many of our patrons are commenting that they thought it should have received the stronger classification.

"Usually?" How often does this happen anyway?

People try it all the time. I don't catch them everyday, but I'm sure someone trys everyday. At my current theatre, I haven't caught anyone doing anything more than making out, which I still raised the lights a little and then back down to let them know they're not alone. However, a the Carmike's, the back row is a little closer to the back wall, and thus harder to see from the booth, and I'd scare someone at least once a week. I'd actually check for them. But anyhow, back to people fainting because of a lame horror flick.
