What's everyone up to in the US for the 4th of July? And if you all happen to take some pics/video of fireworks please don't hesitate to post! [Razz]

I had a BBQ with the family earlier today and I'm about to head out to a party tonight, close to Tempe Town Lake to see the fireworks.

Happy 4th! [Big Grin]

Happy 4th to all [Smile]

Jennifer

My brother lives in Glendale. About 5 years ago I spent the summer there and I went to a few block parties where they closed the entire road. Everyone was outside with their stereos partying, good food everywhere. You do not see anything like that here in NY:( It was pretty cool.

Have fun!

It rained out here in southeastern Massachusetts tonight, so our fireworks are postponed. Weather forecast for tomorrow is rain, heavy at times, so I don't think we'll see the fireworks until Friday night.

Spent the afternoon in the Mountains above where I live. At 9,000 feet the temperature is much cooler and there was a gentle breeze... no bugs!

I watched 4 different fireworks displays simultaneously on the roof of the theatre.

Here's one of the "keepers" I shot last night (tripod mounted, 2 second exposure).

I didn't take too many pictures of fireworks exploding since I was having more fun lighting a bunch of my own.

Wow, Bobby, that is a great pic! Took some a couple years ago that came out very nice but haven't done any of fireworks since... maybe next year.

I watched the awesome annual fireworks display in Rock Hall, Maryland. It was so much cooler this year... they actually set the field on fire. [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [thumbsup]

July 4th? No, I celebrate Independence Day on October 18. Thats when George III was presented with the Declaration by his ministers.

Great pic, Bobby. Still, fireworks are one of those things that you just have to see in person...photos just can't do 'em justice. I think it's the whole atmosphere that goes with it that makes it fun. Plus the possibility of explosions and personal injury, of course! [Big Grin]
