Did I get your attention? [Big Grin]

No worries, I'm not touching film. I'm now a digital technician at the Majestic, so I'm in my element. Running live shows in the Palladium (Michael Winslow is performing this weekend, quite involved with many video & audio cues)... working with sound & light mixing boards, and a 4K digital projector. Also performing maintenance on our digital projectors used for pre-show ads.

Am I bragging? Maybe a little bit, but just thought I'd share my success... even though I'm at a movie theatre, I'm working with the type of thing that I think some here would've liked to see me in. Most of my experience with audio has been with digital, less live, so there's been quite a learning curve there; but I'm doing well, and Mr. Winslow's show is quite challenging. Luckily I've had some great help from a guy who has loads of experience with live audio & mixing boards... I'm learning a lot. Whenever our eventual upgrade to digital cinema happens, I'll be working with that as well. (I believe I'm meeting with the NCM people in a week or two... so I assume I'll be responsible for that too.)

So, I'm in my element, and I have my foot in the door for future success. This round's on me. [beer]

I thought Michael Winslow was dead; his career, anyway... [Confused]

His act is quite good to be honest... it has gotten a great reaction from the audiences with the 4 shows I've run so far... 2 more to go tonight.

Not to mention it's really been good practice for me in the booth, his show is quite intense with all the song, video, and light cues.

I'm running the Italian Comedy Tour next weekend, no idea what to expect. Apparently when we had the Irish Comedy Tour the audience was going nuts... so I'm hoping that there's luck with the ethnically based comedy tours.

We had Michael here a few months ago and he does put on a great show.

The best part about him is that he is down to earth and easy to work with.
