Some of you may remember me mentioning back in this thread that I asked a female projectionist to marry me, and she said yes. Well, the big day is coming up quick.

Yes, very soon Kate and I will be husband and wife.

 -

For our honeymoon, we'll be driving to see a few sites out west, and then flying to Hawaii for a week. Hopefully she won't be sick of me by the time we get back.

But it's getting close and we're starting to really get excited.

Wish us luck! [Smile]

Awesome! I married Brenda a little over a year go. She is a CAD Draftsperson and designer. I wonder how many other Film-Techers are married to technically capable gals????

My wife (current variety) is a web page designer/writer when we owned theaters she did our web pages and when we got out she started her own business.

I have been married over 10 years this time and you barely get over half that with both previous marriages put together. I guess I'm hard to live with but then so were my other wives!

Last night I mentioned to her that Pete is running The Adventures Of Robin Hood (one of her favorite movies) next month at his theater. Her response...

"Is it a Technicolor print?"

Ah... life is good.

Remember the wedding and the marriage are two different things. The wedding (and honeymoon) are fun and exciting times. The marriage, while it can be fun and exciting, is work. My has lasted 38 years, not all by my own effort, and I'm sure you two can do even better if you keep in mind the other persons needs, wants and desires. So much for my "marriage counseling". Congratulations!

I need to hook up with you someday, Tim. I don't think you're that far away.

That's right, Mark! We're about 90 miles away from each other. I stop in New Castle occasionally - usually on the way to or from Baltimore on a work assignment - and visit the Ham Radio Outlet store there on Dupont Hwy.

Oooo. Never heard of that, but nope, unfortunately it's too close to the Big Day this year. Maybe next year though! I'll keep that in mind. You going?
