MMO... should be MMORPG. That's "Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games". WoW = World of Warcraft. LOTRO = "Lord of the Rings Online", I guess.

I really hate computer games. I prefer console games. Anyway you don't have to worry about Derrick making that jargon any more. Yay!

Here's the thing about WOW. If they are going to require me to pay a monthly subscription to play the game, than the software itself should be free. If I'm going to fork over 80 bucks for the software, I shouldn't have to pay an additional monthly fee to play it.

One or the other Sony. Not both.

I played Eve Online for a bit, the game was free, but you paid a serveice if I remember. Before that I played UO (Ultima Online). Console games are cool, but are limited to the console's limitations. Computer games can incorporate so many control, hotkeys, can be more in depth. I prefer them. I just wish they'd design some of the console only games for PC. They are getting better about it, it seems.

So who's game for some AvP2 (Alien vs. Preditor)(the game, not the Requiem movie)? I got dibbs on playing runner (Alien). [thumbsup]

I played WoW for free a few months before their servers went live. The PvE was great and really easy to figure things out. Overall though I didn't care for it. I like to have a good PvP endgame and WoW just doesn't deliver. The extremely overdone cartoon look got old after awhile too.

I was finally brainwashed into playing. My boyfriend bought the software and paid for the first 3-months service just to get me to play. He's a freakin WOW-dealer... first hit free.

I resisted for many many months and then caved to peer pressure. Now I waste many hours with my LVL 43 Human Paladin.

God I hate sounding THIS nerdy.

Off topic, but didn't the guy who 'invented' the modern role-playing games (like Dungeon and Dragons) just die? Can't remember his name ...

I'm such a geek. I waste away my life on my lvl 70 Pally (Horde Side). I am the GM of my guild, trying to get thru Kara atm. I also have a couple lower lvl's, in the process of lvl'ing a mage. *huff* Ok, I'm going to log in now... [Big Grin]
