We celebrated our 70th earlier this year. Older movie houses definitely have a feel all to themselves. All the best for the Byrd, and many more years of delighting the movie going masses!

Congratulations to the Byrd Theatre and to the creative management and dedicated staff who have kept the lights on and the doors open. Thanks to the Wutlitzer pipe organ and those who lovingly care for it making this theatre so unique. Great job!

Sincerely
KEN [thumbsup]

Funny, I read recently that one hundred years ago, on Dec. 24th, 1908, the mayor of NYC closed hundreds of movie theaters.

Congratulations! No doubt you'll have many more years of successful operation. I'll have to make the drive down sometime. Any interesting stories about the place through the years?
