Author Topic: HP scanning software help Brad Miller Administrator Posts: 17775 From: Plano, TX (36.2 miles NW of Rockwall) Registered: May 99 posted 07-29-2009 08:40 PM                     It goes without saying that HP has the worst scanning software ever created, but hopefully someone out there knows how to defeat their stupid "auto cropping" nonsense. Basically if I put a stack of 8x11 pages into the sheet feeder of my Laserjet 3055, it will dutifully scan them all to pdf, but will randomly re-crop some of the pages losing most, if not all of the usable content. I can't even find a setting that will let me proof each page before it auto-crops and accepts its "guess". Is there anyone out there that has an HP scanner with these problems, and what did you do to fix it?  |  IP: Logged Lyle Romer Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1400 From: Davie, FL, USA Registered: May 2002 posted 07-29-2009 10:14 PM                     Which scanning SW are you using from HP? The one I have for the 7200 series shows a preview as it is scanning. When it's done with everything in the feeder you can scroll page by page and re-crop the way you want it.  |  IP: Logged Adam Martin I'm not even gonna point out the irony.
