Sad news indeed. About a week or so ago I received a mysterious e-mail informing me that 'Bernard' (no other name) was in hospital; it seems to have been sent to everybody in his contacts.

I thought this must have been Bernard Tonks. I met Bernard a couple of times, most recently at Bradford a few years ago where we were invited to visit both Pictureville and IMAX projection rooms.

When I asked about the screen at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool which rises out of the floor at the start of 'Of Time and the City' it was Bernard who contacted me and advised me that the person to speak to about it would be Mike Taylor. I saw Mike at the Widescreen Weekend, and he did indeed know about it I told him that it was Bernard who had suggested I ask him, but of course had no Idea that he would be gone within just a few days.
