His sister called me this morning to share the tragic news. I will post additional information as she informs me. I loved his outrageous sense of humor and his cynical, yet humorous, way of looking at things. Even now I'm hoping that this is just another of Phil's pranks and he'll pop up soon with a gorilla or pirate mask laughing at us all. I'd hoped to meet him face to face sometime, although now it appears that will have to be in another world. "Now cracks a noble heart. Phil and I are graduates of Lawrence Institute of Technology in Detroit. Over the years we had similar interests, working with television and doing underwater photography. His humor was a bit slanted, much like his pirate hat. Rest in Peace dear friend. Phil was a great guy and loved to "pull my chain" both here on F-T and by private emails. He was always kind and expressed his concerns over my health issues without any mention of his own. I regret never having the chance to meet him in person, as I feel it would have been interesting to say the least. R.I.P. Phil, you will be sorely missed by a lot of folks.
