I watched The Usual Suspects at the Carmike 8 here in Lawton during its original run, although I can't remember if the Carmike got it in the first week or received it a couple or so weeks later. The auditorium was nearly empty. Jack, the theater's manager and I often joked how we were practically the only ones who saw it when it played at his theater. The show stayed for only one week.

Nearly everyone else I know locally "discovered" the movie on home video. And them some would have the gall to say, "it's a shame Lawton never gets movies like this!" Ugh. Face-palm.

Bryan Singer, the film's director studied at School of Visual Arts for a couple years. Had to throw in a SVA mention.

A movie that is no fun when someone has ruined the ending of it prior to your screening. [Frown]

Anyone who would spoil this movie needs to at least think they're gonna get executed and buried in a hole a few dozen miles outside of 'Vegas.
