Thank you very much for approving my application for registration. I have been reading the forums for quite some time (around 4 years) and, as a result, I have gained a considerable amount of knowledge regarding cinema technology. As a cinema viewer, projection booths always fascinated me! Your forums helped me realize what's going on in there. Ayakawa Film God Posts: 2738 From: Waipahu, Hawaii, USA Registered: Aug 2002 posted 06-23-2012 10:41 PM                        Hello, Paul you and I are are very much alike because I am also a patron of the cinema and have been ever since I was a child. like you, I have also been interested in the way movies are presented and have been very fortunate to become friends with a couple of projectionists and all the key people at Consolidated Amusement company's projection and sound department when it was owned and operated by Los Angeles based Pacfic Theatres. The person whom I own a lot was my dear friend, the late Miss Faith Tom who was Vice President of theatre operations for Consolidated who always invited me to special advance film showings and made sure I never ran out of passes.. I learned a lot about motion picture exhibition from all of them as well as all of the fine people working in the booth here at Film Tech .
