Not really a movie person, but still a great entertainer. I loved her laugh. The Sarah Silvermans of the world owe a big debt to her.

Wow. A friend just told me a joke a few days ago and I said it sounded like something Phyllis Diller would've said.

And it went something like this:

"I told him to bring the hardest thing he had, and to put it where I pee...so he brought over his bowling ball and threw it in the toilet."

(I tried looking that one up online and could not find a reference to it anywhere.)

Anyway, RIP

Hearing of Phyllis Diller's passing sure brought back memories of my first years in the theatre industry. She was active in several movies of that era with the likes of Bob Hope and other comedians. RIP
