It is a very sad time for all that we have lost this very visionary and determined investor in our community.

This from an eMail today

"With heavy hearts, we say good-bye to Dr. Samuel H. Shaheen, who looked at the Temple Theatre in 2002 and saw something in the abandoned movie house that sparked the spirit of Saginaw.

Acting on it, he and his rare and wonderful family restored the Temple to its full glory; once again the "Showplace of Northeastern Michigan." Even more, this amazing family created a legacy, one that his wife Patricia and children Samuel, Sabrina, and Peter will continue through the Temple Theatre Foundation.

Rest in peace Doc, your dream is in good hands."

That's too bad Ken. What a wonderful place the Temple has become. I need to come pay a visit again.

RIP
