I thought I would throw this out to the group and see if anyone happened to have a recommendation.

I am looking for a network HVAC thermostat that has it's own built in web server. In other words, one I can connect an ethernet wire directly to, or connect via wi-fi.

Now here's the catch...note I said "built in web server". That means no internet needed and especially NO CLOUD! [Mad]

It needs to be accessible on the local network via a browser, NOT another annoying "app" to have to put on the phone. All phones have a browser. All computers have a browser. No need to complicate things unnecessarily.

Anyone know of anything? Thanks.

Does it need a web GUI or just be able to send/receive TCP commands over ethernet to make adjustments and read room status?

I'd be interested to know about one, too. We currently have a Honeywell T9. In some ways it's great, especially the remote sensors you can add to it (the downstairs of our house is always significantly cooler than upstairs - up to 8-9 degrees of difference in the middle of summer), and therefore the ability to configure which one(s) it will use for the target temperature during different schedules of the cycle is very helpful.

But not only do you need to install yet another f*****g app on your phone to configure and control the thing, but that app is only available for iPhones and Android. There is simply no way to run it from a Windows or Linux PC - not even a cloud-based web UI, let alone a web UI served out of the actual unit.

A search with Google brings this one up.
