"This epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend tells the story of Sir Gawain, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the Green Knight."
I hate using the word 'unique' but if you know the studio A24, the word is bound to come up, and given the topic and visuals that the trailer conveys, this was totally up my alley.
You're either going to like, or not ... but director David Lowrey seems to be channeling Tarsem, Lynch, and Tarkovsky all into a hypnotic journey.
The film is currently rentable on Vudu and Itunes in 4K Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos, and it's too bad no theatre in my area was able to present it as such in Atmos as the soundtrack is an aural highlight.
5/5 film rating
