"In Washington Heights, N.Y., the scent of warm coffee hangs in the air just outside of the 181st St. subway stop, where a kaleidoscope of dreams rallies a vibrant and tight-knit community. At the intersection of it all is a likable and magnetic bodega owner who hopes, imagines and sings about a better life."
Lin-Manuel picked the right director for the film version of his play, the reworking of the stage musical's narrative to cinematic overall effect was pitch perfect. '96,000' set in a swimming pool ~ wow! 'Carnival Del Barrio' made me want to dance in the aisle.
I saw this four times in the theatre; the DVD/Blu-ray/4K UHD comes out on Aug. 31st (can't wait!!)
