Ruby Gillman tries to fit in at high school where her biggest problem is trying to get up the nerve to ask a boy to the prom, and her mother's first rule is never enter the water. Then a time comes where she has to jump into the water where she discovers that she's really a kraken princess, sworn to defend the oceans of the world from evil mermaids.
How can she reconcile being a typical teenager and a monster of the deep?
I really like this movie. The story is clever, the animation and the music are good, and the whole movie just zips along.
