I do a lot of reading on computer screens and I've done so over the years. It's mostly technical stuff though. I wouldn't really want to read an entire book off of my notebooks screen. That's why I still have a separate E-reader. The passive screen feels more like reading a traditional book to me.
I've never tried to read a book on a mobile screen, but I still had a Blackberry when everybody already switched-over to a "standardized brick". I like tactile keys. Ever since I switched to the "standard brick" form-factor, I pull out my notebook when I want to write something longer than 20 characters. I really dearly hate those tiny virtual keyboards, without any form of tactile feedback.
