Does anyone know how to take out the 3 glasses (sides and back) of a Gold Medal Super Pop Maxx?

I have a Pop Maxx (not Super) and while I've never taken it apart that way I just looked at how it goes together. It appears that you can remove the screws that hold the top down, then pull the top metal frame up and out, and you can lift that plastic edge thing and the glass can then slide up.

The Super should be the same because as far as I know it just has a bigger kettle than the not-Super.

The instructions on Page 17 don't work for your machine? Apparently, it's as easy as to remove a locking magnet?

We have a Cretors machine, but our Nacho warmer is a Gold Medal one. I've never taken out the glasses out of that one though.

WOW - I do have a Super Pop Maxx manual, but it's different from the one you linked to. The glass removal actually isn't shown in it. Mine has only 16 pages and only deals with operation, not maintenance.

And I couldn't find your manual on the GM site, because for a couple of years it was always blocked for me due to GMs European Privacy Act paranoia. I didn't try harder to get access because I already had a manual and thought I would only find the same there.

Seems also that GM has now implemented the necessary cookie handling on their website, and I can access it without going the VPN route,

Yeah... Sure... They'll sweep out the crumbs and empty the tray at the end of the night but cleaning the rest of the machine always gets left to somebody else. Why does it seem like I'm always the "somebody else?"

Same for me. You have to have a certain attitude to become the dude who cleans it down to the ground.I spent quite some hours yesterday to get this machine back into a condition so I can return it to the person from whom we borrowed it.

I clean my machine (kettle and glass) every night. First thing that I do after getting the show started, actually.

The popcorn is better when the machine kept very clean.

When we hire new people we just tell them the machine has to be cleaned every single night. No exceptions. Our machine is from 1996 but people think it’s much newer. The hardest part of cleaning is getting the glass streak-free.

After multiple trial and errors I settled on a simple cold water solution with some (concentrated) white vinegar in it, combined with a microfiber cloth. While stuff like Windex (known as Glassex around here) seems to work marginally better, since it contains ammonia, you can't use it to clean the inside, as it will be in contact with the popcorn. Also, I don't like the smell. The food-safe window cleaning stuff I've tried all didn't work any better than my vinegar solution and some of them left a nasty smell.

I'm always open for new suggestions.

I use regular white vinegar. I just put it into a spray bottle and spray a paper towel with the vinegar, then wipe the glass with that and then a dry paper towel. When it's done every day the machine always looks clean.

Window cleaner can make plexiglass look cloudy so you don't want to use that on your popcorn machine if it has plexiglass.

I take the kettle out first and clean that with a dishcloth and water.

Then dump the ray and wash wash that and the scoop.

Depending on how much popcorn I've made, I get the machine cleaned up in five to ten minutes most nights.

Looks as simple as removing the locking magneting retaining tab at the top (on the inside) and then sliding it up and tilting it out from the bottom.

Yes, it was, although on hour machine there were three large very strong cylindrical neodym magnets that were also partially sticking with grease. They looked like bolts to me and it took me a while to understand that I just have to pick them off.
