  • END CUE Fail Projector goes into Cooling Mode

    Hi all.

I have an NEC NC2000C, at the end of each Showing when the End Cue is triggered an error occurs Automation label failed: [END SHOW], then
the projector goes into cooling mode,(eg. like when you reboot with a hot lamp) the count down starts and the indicator tail lights blinks Orange.

Can I get some assistance with this issue?

    Thanks.

The cue failure is saying a command in your END SHOW cue didn't work. This is in the server... you don't say what server. You can try testing each command in the END SHOW cue individually to find which is failing.

The projector appears to have received a LAMP OFF command and has obeyed.

Hi, Thanks for the assist. Its a GDC SX3000 server.

What Dave said sounds pretty spot on. So have you managed to debug the commands in your END SHOW cue/macro?

Hi, Thanks again for the assistant. Yes, I was able to. It was the Lamp Off cue.

But is it also a server issue when manually turn off the lamp from the projector and is still reboots and goes to cooling mode?

When the lamp off button is pushed - or its given a lamp off command from the server - the NEC should just turn its lamp off and go into a cooldown mode for 5 minutes (I think it's 360 seconds but not sure) during which it won't restart the lamp but will do most everything else. Powerdown from lamp on should wait that time with lamp off and then go to standby. Note that the projector can be set to start the lamp on powerup from standby automatically.
The projector does not "reboot" itself ever, in my experience.
There should be no difference between pushing lamp off at the panel and sending it a server lamp off cue.

I'm having a hard time parsing this sentence. I'm interpreting this as follows: If I manually turn off the lamp on the projector, the server or projector (?) reboots and the projector goes into cooling mode.

But that doesn't make any sense at all.

Like Dave indicated, once you turn of the lamp, either via the projector or via a remote command (the server), the projector goes into cool-down. You can't re-ignite the lamp during the cool-down period, which is exactly like expected. This is done to protect your lamp from failing.

Since pushing the lamp-off button on the projector doesn't trigger anything in the server directly, I find it doubtful that the server will reboot. So, maybe you're confusing the cooldown period with a reboot?

                Hi Guys,
In DCC, In the Setup Page on the Setup Tab there is the Unlit Mode Selection where it can be changed from Cooling to Lamp off. This should sort the current issue.

                Cheers Fraser
