Hey everyone. I have my Christie ACT hooked up to a GDC server and a CP2210, and am experiencing a weird issue. It seems like it's totally working, except it won't turn the lights down. I have tested all other cues, but can't seem to dim the lights. Any quick thoughts?
Does this happen consistently? I have occasional problems with the ACT skipping cues. It may be, if you are using a macro with multiple commands that they are too close together time wise.
Have you tried moving the lighting wires to a different relay. For reasons no one has figured out yet, our button number 1 doesn't work with our light automation, but works when we switch it to a different relay.
And then, your light automation could just be screwed up. Are you using dimmable LED's? That could be the cause of problems.
We've had all of the above, and not been able to cure all of them.
ours just died last week... we are in panic mode now, but are going to switch to a Junor. Ours wouldn't connect... some commands work and some don't. its so odd.
Is there something added to network, some other device etc, it can jam network packets so sometimes device can skip commands because it was listening to something else at the moment. Also, it can be pure malfunction with strange behaviour. Two weeks ago i received CP650 in service with deal power supply, after it was fixed i returned to customer and few days after he reporter that in won't respond to commands every time, like it works few commands and reject one than again few ok.... In that situation nothing was changed just power supply was dead......other ethernet devices are ok, so probably cp650 is having some issue.....
I would log into the ACT and check that it is actually receiving and trying to execute the cue by going to the status tab and then execution summary. If it is executing the cue, check the wiring, making sure nothing is loose. If if is not executing the cue, you would need to check your GDC and ACT configuration.
