The biggest lifesaver for me at CinemaCon is the "Cafe Americano." It's in Caesars but is about 4 miles from the convention area, where we eat breakfast on most of the mornings. We might eat a dinner there too, if the provided meal is inedible (such as any form of seafood). I hate the prices, but it's tax deductible, I guess. As an avid hater of lots of convention food, combined with all the walking, I almost always lose a few pounds at every convention we go to.

The Cafe Americano is OK, if you get there by 6am for breakfast. Any later and there's a long line, and there remains a long line throughout the day. I hear you about convention food. I am violently allergic to butter and cheese, which makes it very difficult to eat out. When I'm on out of town install trips, I tend to militate toward Chipotle and Subway, because those are two places I can see them prepare the food and thus be sure that they're not putting any cheese in my sandwich or burrito. Of course, there is neither in Caesar's. The food court has a Mexican and a burger place that are safe, but apart from that the only options are upscale vegan eateries that cater to Gwyneth Paltrow types, and at Gwyneth Paltrow prices (not to mention selling veggies that is not supposed to eat, but insert where the sun don't shine, most likely).

A couple of years ago, the lunch place opposite the escalators up to the convention area did a really nice cold steak and salad thing - it was even reasonably priced, by Caesar's standards. But last year it had disappeared from the menu, and they weren't offering any options at all that didn't contain butter, cheese, or both.

The first couple of times we went to CinemaCon, there was a restaurant across the casino from the colisseum that served a turkey dinner that was awesome for us comfort-food types. It was basically like a Thanksgiving dinner: Turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a veggie. I think we ate there two or three times. Of course, it's gone now and replaced by something I forget the name of, but that has zero equally good options.

I was in Miami Beach for Showeast in October and had brunch at a place I realized was Cafe Americano after sitting down. Exactly the same on Collins and later I discovered there is also one on Ocean Drive.
