  • IMS3000 software bundle 3.5.20 is released

Available to download on the Dolby portal now.

There are two major new features: support for the new hardware variant (IMS3000-DS) that does not have any HD-SDI inputs, and extension of all the internal certificates to 2036. This version must be installed to prevent an IMS3000 from stopping working at the end of 2025.

There are also around 20 bug fixes, most of them relatively minor.

    Thanks for noting...

Still can't believe our brand-new IMS3000 was shipped to us last year with certificates already expiring in 2025...

Does it solve the problem of no picture at the beginning when converting to different CPL (2K/4K/Flat/Scope)?

That's way too open ended of a question. There can be specific projector interactions that can cause such an issue. Remember the server and ICP (or ICP clone, like the ICP-D) have to agree and sync up on a rate. The problem can be on either end. My biggest IMS3000 issues are first shows of the day after powering up. They system to come in the form of it booting up in a bad state (you'll see the sound processor on a server mode only) or, for some reason, when it loads the scheduled show, it fails its KDM check despite having a valid KDM.

I had an issue between the IMS3000 and ICP-D but with numerous updates between both companies, those seemed to have been mostly resolved.

Have you been opening tickets with Dolby with your specific problems so they can resolve it?
