  • Barco 2.10.121 was recently released (S2 B and C projectors)

Barco is a bit sparse on the release notes on this one and the notes included in the .bin file (visible via Software Update Utility) didn't list anything. Of the listed features, the Diagnostics>Tests>Video Path restored the indicators for the DVI inputs on the Gen-2 CCBs. They also list updates to the CCB for use with different light sources (I'm guessing for the LLU laser upgrades). Looking at its installation, it covers quite a bit of ground. Without the release notes, one does not know what was in the unreleased 2.10.119 or 2.10.120...sometimes those unreleased versions have the bulk of the changes.

The official release notes for 2.10.121 are:
    • Support for new lightsource configurations on 1st generation cinema controller R7655331
    • Add lens R98013333 (MINOLTA(R) 1.38" DC4K VHC HDR 4K:1.35-1.84) for Prometheus III
    • Add lens R98013343 (MINOLTA(R) 1.38" DC4K VHC HDR 4K:1.45-2.10) for Prometheus III
    • Add lens R98013533 (MINOLTA(R) 1.38" DC4K VHC HDR 4K:1.65-2.70) for Prometheus III
    • Add lens R98013543 (MINOLTA(R) 1.38" DC4K VHC HDR 4K:1.98-3.40) for Prometheus III
    • Add lens R98013983 (MINOLTA(R) 1.38" DC4K VHC HDR 4K:1.13-1.72) for Prometheus III
    • Add lens R98529503 (XLD(R) 1.38" DC4K VHC HDR 0.9-1 MAN)
    • Add battery warning of the ICP-D/ICMP in CCB log
    • Fix for ICP-D temperatures in communicator for CCB Gen1
    • Fix for visualization in communicator for DVI timings on CCB Gen2

Note, the S and E projectors do not have a corresponding update, at this time

I wonder if they upgrade the xenon lamp file

They did. it has a lot more in there than what is on that release note.

Thanks Steve. It's impressive that Barco is still maintaining the software/firmware for their Series 2 machines, 13-14 years after they first went on the market. I believed that 2.10.118 would be the final version.

I really like that they fixed the input (DVI, in particular) graphics for Gen 2 CCBs...it is a very nice troubleshooting aid to see if the projector sees a connected device...without having to blindly check the timings. I'm sure that they are not putting as much time into S2 software as they are approaching on revision/year. One would think that it is in a pretty stable state.
