They went into some details about the escape sequences the ICMP uses/expects that might be your stumbling point?
There is also the cp750 tcp port number, from the manual at the very end. Section 7.3.2, Remote Commands and Control, which appears to be the only place it describes the ASCII strings over TCP option. "ASCII control over TCP command strings must be sent to port 61408"
Note the larger section about remote commands (and a bigger table of commands) is in Chapter 6 "Remote Control and Monitoring", where it lists ASCII commands in context of serial communication. But would expect the larger table of commands to be available over TCP too?
Escape sequences and port numbers were the only difficult to unearth bit when I was doing my Doremi-to-AP20 tcp commands.
