Specially Printed DCP Bubble Mailer

Receiving DCPs from distributors can often times be routinely lackluster. We are all used to the silver Deluxe DCP mailers, or for some of you out there, the corrugated plastic blue IMAX mailers. It’s seems rare to receive a DCP in anything “fun”, let alone a custom printed bubble mailer. Thought I’d share with those here who may appreciate it! IMG_1491.jpg

This feature is The Legend of Boggy Creek. This DCP came directly from Charles B. Pierce’s daughter. How cool is that?

It's always a treat when the distributors do something special to brighten up our
often mundane workdays! (Like the graphics on the custom printed leaders on
the 70mm DUNE II prints, for example)

I remember the good old days when you would open up a new Pixar film canister and find a set of trading cards, and a special "note to projectionist" featuring characters from the film. The trading cards stopped as soon as Disney bought Pixar, and I think there were two or three titles with the special "note to projectionist" enclosed, but these days they don't even seem to do a special email anymore.
