IMAX OLYMPICS (Tech Question)

Earlier this week, I saw several online advertisements announcing that the opening
ceremonies of the Olympics in Paris, will be shown live at over 100 IMAX®️ locations.

- - It seems to me it would take a fairly high bandwidth satellite (or other) signal to put
a decent live picture on an IMAX-sized screen, even one of their smaller ones.

☞ So, I'm curious if anybody knows what sort of technology was used to do this?

Probably using 4k cameras, since that's the resolution of their digital system.. And it is possible to relay that by sattellite.
