Cineplex Canada projection

I would kindly ask informations on how digital projection works in Cineplex Canada. I read they are using UniqueX TMS and Barco projectors.

Is projection run for 150-200 cinemas all from Toronto's head office? Do they have one or multiple locations for that?

I'm asking because of the job application. Thank you

I don't know their operations, but most chains centralize their projection operations to some central office, often called "NOC". Smaller chains have the tendency to outsource those operations. I'd say that Cineplex Canada would be of sufficient size to roll their own.

Most chains have since abandoned traditional projectionists in favor of more general "technical staff", which often isn't more than the guy behind the popcorn counter that knows how his playstation works and hence has been promoted to "site technical lead" in case of stuff going awry...

I can understand you don't want to disclose too much about the job offer, but was it for their head office or one of their locations?
