It's a DP2000 with DVI, so it should be RGB.
Paul, are you sure the notebook output is set to 1920/1080? Very often, upon connecting a notebook, the display setting is set to mirror the internal display. If that display is 1920/1080, that should be okay, but if not, it is better to configure extended desktop (separate display) so the HDMI/DVI output can have it's own specific resolution set.
But, as you seem to have an image now on screen, you could just as well try a Bluray or media player to check HDCP compatibility, even if the colors are off at first.
