Seriously, I think it is the sensor used between the two and possibly that there are multiple sensors in the LSS200. But yes, Harold would be the one to know. I know it affects what the test content uses for determining what mode to put the LSS into. -
The firmware will work in any of the models. It detects the hardware. Here are the different models:
LSS-100
RGB color sensor used for chromaticity and luminance measurement and script start
Analog SPL measurement
USB power
LSS-100P

Phtopic sensor for luminance and script start
IR sensor
DSP for SPL measurement
USB or POE power
LSS-200
XYZ Color Sensor for chromaticity and luminance
