GATINEAU PRESERVATION CENTRE

The Motion Picture Film Divsion consists of a Black and White motion picture Lab with two processors, they process dupe neg, fine grain pos, and release prints.

Modified Oxberry optical printers with wetgate option and gates for 8mm, Super 8, 9.5mm, 16mm, 28mm, and 35mm.

A small screening room with a Kinoton side by side 16mm/35mm projector.

Inspection rooms with Intercine modifed (modified for sprinkage) flatbeds, also a converted Intercine for 28mm viewing.

Control panel for the small screening room. The room holds 20 people.



Inspection bench. Tape splicers, Ultra sonic, and cement. Everything is wound on to cores. Colored leader identifies reference prints, masters and printing elements.



Inspection and comparison rooms. Modified Intercines for shrinkage. 8mm, super 8, 16mm and 35mm.



Modified Intercine for 28mm and 9.5 viewing. The preservation centre has the biggest collection of 28mm prints in the world.
