  • Lens calculator for 35mm cinema

Hi everyone, it's my first time in this forum so I don't know if this has been cover before, in that case, sorry.
A couple of friends and I run a community darkroom in Madrid, Spain. At the end of this month I'm finally buying a Kinton FP 30 D to make screenings for the lab members, it's my first time dealing with 35mm in cinema, so I'm buying the whole package; projector, projection reels, film bench, splicer and lenses. We are on short budget so the idea was to buy only one spherical lens for 1.85 aspect ratio to start with and in following months buy the necessary ones for european wide screen (1.66), academic ratio (1.37) and the other two for scope.
The thing is, I've been searching online for the formulas needed to calculate the lens length needed to fill our screen, and I've found old posts in this same forum dealing with it, but I probably did something wrong or don't fully understood them because as soon as I told the guy I'm buying the equipment to the dimensions of my screening room and the lens I needed he told me that it was absolutely wrong.
Now, lacking trust in my math, I've been searching for the famous program, schneider theater design pro to calculate it for sure, but it's been impossible for me to find a copy.
Does anyone around know how to get hold on to a copy of schneider theater design pro ???
Thanks in advance for reading me, hope you all have a great day.

You can also always go old-school with the slide rule style MTE/ICECO one. MTE still sells em. If none of the methods Alan mentioned work out, or you want a backup, I can read off mine.
Since you seem to have a budget, consider nabbing one to add to the "kit":
