Just a curiosity, was the USL-Inc “UCI-60” unit basically USL’s equivalent solution to the Dolby DMA8Plus?

Did it have any features or advantages compared to other market offerings of the time?

(PS this probably could have been posted in digital, but gear from the crossover era.)

Just ask cause a couple turned up on eBay at a fair price, and was tempted to play with one.

It's very similar to the DMA-8+. The good news is that the USL support website is still operational. Simply click on the link below to download manuals and firmware updates for most of their products:

Personally, I wouldn't touch it. The control of it sucks. I was happy when the last ones left our service. They worked but they were not a pleasure. The DMA8+ was, by far, a better piece.
