Hi everyone, we’re having an audio problem with one of our Kinoton projectors, and I wanted to get your feedback, although we’ll most likely need an experienced technician on-site to resolve the issue. It will be helpful to hear your ideas so I can properly describe this problem. I apologize if my terminology is incorrect or confusing.
We have a dual projector system and a Dolby CP650 for processing. It seems like the sound reader on Projector 1 (Kinoton FP30 E) is having an issue. When playing films without a Dolby Digital soundtrack, so SR or A, it sounds like the entire Center channel is being sent to the Right. The Left channel is very faint but still coming through. Films with Dolby Digital play normally. Projector 2 (Kinoton FP38 E) is not having the issue, and I played the same reels on it. The reels we were watching are a compilation of old trailers from the 60s to the 2000s, so the audio formats range from Dolby A and SR to Digital.
Thanks!
