  • NOSFERATU (2024) - 35mm

    NOSFERATU (2024)

    Universal Pictures
    8 Reels - Kodak 2383, Digital Film-out
    Reel 3 is rather short.
1.66 in what seems like 1.78 or 1.85, resulting in a windowboxed image

Print by Cinelab Film & Digital (London, UK)

No C/O cues on my print (#12)

Annoying "END" title on the frame following the very last frame of every reel

Last Frame of end Credits: FOCUS FEATURES

Wird der Film auch im Kino 1 gespielt oder nur Kino 3?

To add to Sacha's pictures- -
This is how how you know if you're late on a change-over! lol -
I have no idea why they did this, but even though there's
no black/blank film after the last frame this shouldn't be a
problem for any competent changeover projectionist.

Also, almost all the reels are 'short'- with reel 3 being the shortest.
I didn't measure it but visually Reel 3 looks like only about 1,000ft.

It's a bit silly, but yeah audience isn't supposed to see those black frames on screen either... it just rubs a little salt in the wounds if you are late. The lack of cue marks from the lab (like Sacha's print), and the under sizing, feel like the more justifiable complaints.

Just to add more to the NOSFERATU aspect insanity:
          > The souvenir film clips we were giving to guests
          on opening night were neither 1:66 or 1:85 ! ! !
