  • USDA Help for RURAL theatres

As we are not all urban sophisticates, if you are in a rural area, or think you are, you may want to check out this program with the USDA. Not sure what's in it, or if it will survive the next administration, but if the money's good, grab it.

UDSA Rural Development Resources for Movie Theaters and Performing Arts Venues
Date & Time: Jan 8, 2025 09:00 AM in Central Time (US and Canada)
    Description:
USDA Rural Development understands how important movie theaters and performing arts venues are to rural communities as economic generators, places of community gathering, and centers of cultural activity. This webinar will showcase our new resource guide for these cornerstones of our rural communities to help them better navigate and use available agency programs. Program experts will be available to discuss how programs can – for example – be used to upgrade projection equipment, install renewable energy systems, refinance debt or finance expansion, and so much more.

I wonder if this is info about the REAP program, which provides grants to help businesses install energy-efficient equipment. They do include laser projectors on their list. It was going to end in 2022 but has been extended.
