  • Dolby IMS 3000; do Copy and Export require using Additional Storage Manager?

We have Dolby IMS 3000s, and I’m unable to Copy or Export content off them. When browsing in Composition Playlist, the COPY button is grayed out, and Export gives message “There is no available location to export”. Do those functions only work with drives defined in the Additional Storage Manager? We ingest from a network location defined in the Content Feed Manager, and hoped I might copy/export to that location, or to a drive plugged into USB, but can’t find a way. Appreciate any info. Thanks.

I would make sure that the drive connected is formatted into ext2/3 with inode 128 bytes, or fat32 if it's about trailers. That's for the export function.
Yet, not familiar with IMS3000s, the copy function must be for copying from and to additional storage NAS devices.
My guess would be that FTP transfer would be your safest bet.

Hey Ioannis, thanks for the reminder about ext drives. I plugged an ext3 drive into the IMS3000 USB port, and now Export is working. Thanks!
