  • Christie ZX channel save

Good afternoon. We have a Christie ZX projector, our problem is that we want to make a channel, it lets us save the source and the screen but we don't know how to edit or make a channel and save it, we just need to know that save parameter

If the interface resembles my CP2200, you don’t in fact create new channels, the numbered channel slots that exist are all you have, but you can rename them and change all the attributes out from under them. Usually some would be blanks for user configurations from thd factory.

Thank you for answering, the truth is that in the 2220 I have done it without problems, however in the ZX when I turn off the computer and the projector the channel continues as it was originally. It's like don’t save

Perhaps related, The ZX is prob different, but the one non-intuitive step is that just editing/saving screen/ils/light files does not automatically activate them on the current preset, even though you just saw your edits on screen you have to return to the channel config and point it at the correct files for the channel changes to become permanent.

Thank you very much Ryan! I will test tab by tab editing the values to see if it lets us save.

I just had time to glance at the manual. Not a fan of how cluttered that UI is on that version. If the editing of the channel directly doesn't keep changes... maybe check on this PCF setting?

When to Use a PCF? The availability of functions in the Channel: Page 1 menu depends on whether you choose to utilize predefined Projector Configuration Files (PCFs) already downloaded to projector memory, or whether you prefer to implement your own settings. PCFs can be created using the DLP Application then downloaded to the projector. By enabling the Use PCF checkbox, you can select and implement a predefined PCF. Most applications such as cinema, post production and “alternative” or “non-cinema” displays require one or more display parameters to be individually adjusted. In this case, clear the Use PCF checkbox.

Perhaps yours is set up with a PCF on the channels you are trying to edit?

From manual page 3-25, near the beginning of 3.4.6 Channel Menu.

Thank you so much for your help Ryan ! Maybe that's why. I'll disable the PCF checkbox and edit one of the channels other than page 1. From what you're saying, I think that's where the problem with not being able to save the channel comes from. Thank you so much for your help. I'll try it and let you know.
